Stone and Sawyer designs and hand-produces American-made, fine quality tabletop lighting. In looking for lamps over the years, founders David Ryan and Julian Peploe found it difficult to find the perfect ceramic lamp. Inspired by works from the 20th century, they designed their first collection with a focus on integrity and craftsmanship. They create their stoneware ceramic lamp bodies by hand in their studio in the Catskill Mountains of New York and work with local craftspeople to create hand-turned wood parts, hand-finished metal components, and hand-built linen lampshades.
